While facebook.com looks great on an iPad, it can sometimes be awkward to use. We created Friended as a fully native iPad application. Using Facebook's public APIs we're able to create a facebook.com-like experience while utilizing great things Apple included on the iPad like image uploads, quick popovers and larger touchable areas.
Facebook doesn't currently allow liking of photos through their APIs. We're looking into alternative ways to accomplish this!
Absolutely not! All of the communication on Friended is between the app on your iPad and Facebook. There are no servers 'intercepting' data and none of your data is collected or stored by any third party. We take your privacy very seriously!
Friended uses the Facebook Application API. There are specific settings users can set that determine how much information their friends can access via an application. If they chose to prevent applications from accessing their posts, photos, notes, etc. you won't be able to see them in Friended. We're working on alternate ways to make this information accessible in the future!
The new messages API is still in beta which means we can't integrate it into the app quite yet. As soon as Facebook launches the new messages API, we'll add it to an update of Friended!
